Mimiska reports drilling result

On the Lac Rougement showing, where drilling was performed, hole 88-2 returned 0.19 oz gold per ton over 14.4 ft, while hole 4 returned an anomalous 0.05 oz over 25.1 ft. The company says the holes have verified the gold-bearing iron formation over 165 ft and to a depth of 80 ft and the zone is open in all directions.

Surface sampling has been completed on the Pyrite Falls bet. The channel sample north of the stripped zone returned 0.3 oz over 6.8 ft and 0.25 oz over 10.8 ft, including 13.3 oz over 1 ft. (All values were cut to 1 oz per ton.)

A spring drilling program is planned for both properties.

Mimiska has acquired a 25% interest in the properties and may acquire an additional 25% by spending $400,000 on exploration work by March 1, 1990. Managing the project is Noranda Inc. (TSE).
