MIM backs out of joint venture

MIM Holdings has informed Yamana Resources (TSE) that it is withdrawing from the entire Neuquen joint venture in Argentina. Drill results fell short of the former’s expectations.

Yamana nevertheless remains optimistic about the copper-producing potential of the Neuquen basin, and intends to re-assess the prospect. Other companies have also expressed interest in Neuquen.
