Mid-North, Granges deal in Manitoba bet

Mid-North Resources has optioned Granges Exploration’s Gurney gold mine property in Manitoba. Located east of Flin Flon, the Gurney mine produced 25,000 oz of gold and 71,000 oz of silver from 1937-1939, according to government records.

The company can earn a 40% interest from Granges, which will remain the project operator. At Mid-North’s Central Manitoba Mines property, two drill rigs are in operation and preliminary results are expected shortly. Exador Resources is the operator of the project.

Mid-North is also negotiating an agreement which would see exploration conducted on another gold property in Manitoba. A formal agreement is expected by month- end.
