Mid-North, Formation start drilling

Partners Mid-North Resources (MNU-A) and Formation Capital (FCO-T) report that diamond drilling is under way at the Central Manitoba gold property in the province’s southeastern region.

The program will test four shallow gold zones discovered by overburden drilling about 200 metres from the past-producing Central Manitoba mine. Between 1927 and 1938, Central Manitoba produced 137,000 oz. gold.

The property lies in the Rice Lake greenstone belt and contains, in addition to Central Manitoba, one other former mine: Ogama Rockland.

Formation can earn a half-interest in the property from mid-North through a combination of exploration expenditures and option payments. Formation acquired the option through an agreement with the previous option holder, Highpoint Telecommunications.
