Micham program encounters gold

Over 600 ft of underground decline has been completed at Mono Gold Mines’ (VSE) Bannockburn property near Madoc, Ont. Micham Exploration (VSE) has an option to earn a 51% interest in the project for an exploration expenditure of $2 million and a feasibility study.

By mid-month, three separate drift headings were under way and visible gold had been noted in several faces over narrow widths. A 5,700-ft underground drill program was completed March 28 involving 35 holes. Among the better intercepts were: 10.4 ft of 0.15 oz gold; 5.6 ft averaging 0.15 oz; 3.7 ft grading 0.28 oz; 2.8 ft averaging 0.21 oz; 1.7 ft of 0.24 oz and 0.7 ft grading 0.78 oz. All the intercepts are true width.
