A track-mounted reverse circulation drill was recently mobilized by Melinga Resources (VSE) to test recently identified geochemical and geophysical targets on the Macuelizo gold-oxide copper prospect in northwest Honduras.
The company plans to drill three geological reconnaissance holes, which will be followed by 150 (initially) 50-metre exploratory holes at 25-metre and 50-metre centres.
The program’s objective is to establish a minimum economic resource of heap-leachable oxide gold reserves, as well as outline a potential solvent-extractable supergene copper reserve below the oxide gold horizon.
