Meeting to focus on Latin American minerals

A conference highlighting mineral opportunities in Latin America will be held Dec. 3-4 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cancun, Mexico.

Entitled “The Americas: Minerals into the Millennium,” the conference will examine Latin American commodities and markets, including: Brazilian kaolins in the U.S. market; industrial minerals in the Caribbean; Mexican mineral fillers; and Venezuelan, Peruvian and Cuban minerals.

The conference, which is sponsored by Industrial Minerals Information (IMI) and Metal Bulletin, will also feature speakers from Latin America’s industrial minerals sector. Talks will include: calcium carbonate markets in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico; cement, gypsum and lime industries in Chile; and new techniques in mineral processing.
