McNellen drills Mount Foley copper (September 18, 1989)

The first hole returned 15.2 ft of 0.65% copper while the other two holes returned 28.1 ft of 0.56% copper and 46.9 ft of 3.31% copper respectively.

Previous surface work on the property is reported to have indicated a target of widespread skarn- type mineralization with large tonnage, low grade copper potential amenable to bulk mining methods.

Having deemed the initial results “encouraging,” McNellen intends to continue the 5,000-ft underground drill program.
