Mazarin options Wilco property

Mazarin Inc. has concuded an agreement with Cambior Inc. and Noranda Inc. to acquire an interest in the Wilco property one mile east of Rouyn- Noranda in northeastern Quebec.

The project has considerable potential for gold, says Mazarin, and possible reserves of 500,000 tons averaging 0.23 oz gold per ton have been outlined so far in a gold structure.

Under the agreement Mazarin will have the option to acquire from Cambior and Noranda a 30% interest in the property by spending $2 million in exploration before March, 1989.

Mazarin will be operator on the project. It plans a 20,000-ft drill program to start in October. The main target will be the extension of the Delbridge orebody from the adjoining property.
