A $650,000 exploration program involving 25,000 ft. of drilling is under way on three properties in Quebec’s Abitibi region, Societe d’Exploration Miniere Mazarin (ME) reports.
Work at the Wilco property near Rouyn-Noranda will involve 14,000 ft. of drilling and be completed by the end of February. Mazarin’s partners in the project are Noranda and Cambior. Probable reserves at the property stand at 200,000 tons grading 0.75% copper, Mazarin reports.
At the Inmont property 18 miles from Rouyn-Noranda, 9,000 ft. of drilling is planned. Project partners are Teck (TSE) and Dufresnoy (ME) Probable reserves at the property stand at 136,000 tons averaging 0.14 oz. gold per ton and 1.6% copper.
At the wholly owned Barry property, in the Souart area, 2,000 ft. of core will be drilled.
