Maverick Minerals suspends Elsa project

Work has been suspended at the Keno Hill tailings reprocessing project, operated by A.M.T. Canada, a subsidiary of U.S.-listed Maverick Minerals Corporation (mavm-o) of Nevada.

Maverick, which had taken over the project from dormant United Keno Hill Mines, says it is unable to finance the project, owing to uncertainties over directives from the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, which holds regulatory authority over the site. The Keno Hill project is in Elsa, Y.T.
