Mary Ellen project funded by Pacific

An exploration program, funded by Pacific Trans-Ocean Resources, has begun on a property optioned from Mary Ellen Resources. Located in Eby Twp., six miles west of Kirkland Lake, Ont., the property covers a section of the Larder Lake break striking for more than two miles.

Pacific Trans-Ocean has the right to earn a 49% interest in the property by spending $1.5 million on exploration and making property payments to Mary Ellen of $150,000 by Feb 28, 1990. Mary Ellen, which will hold the remaining 51% interest, is the project operator.

In the eastern section of the property, a drill program is testing several geophysical conductors. Another area to the west covers a section of the Larder Lake break. Drilling will test sections of the break and several gold anomalies outlined in basal tills located immediately south of the fault zone. The partners plan to complete 12,000 ft of drilling by the end of February.
