Manitoba announces funding

The government of Manitoba has approved eight new exploration projects, totalling $321,000, through an interim offering of the province’s Mineral Exploration Assistance Program (MEAP).

.ZExpenditures for the projects are valued at $1.2 million.

Since October 1995, MEAP has allocated $3.7 million in financial assistance for exploration expenditures of $15.9 million.

Special attention is being paid to northeastern Manitoba, where MEAP will provide up to 35% of approved, eligible expenses, to a maximum of $400,000 per company per year.
