With all necessary documentation in place, Manhattan Minerals (MAN-T) will form a Peruvian operating company to explore and develop the Tambo Grande project in Peru. The company, to be owned 50.05% by Manhanttan, will then complete a series of approvals and agreements such that work could begin later this year.
Tambo Grande hosts a near-surface, Kuroko-type massive sulphide deposit with an indicated resource of 42.3 million tonnes grading 2.06% copper, 1.47% zinc and 37.6 grams silver per tonne. Random sampling for gold content within this resource has returned values of 0.015-0.15 oz. per ton. Other targets on the property have yet to be drill-tested.
