A half-metre-long intersection cut 24 grams gold per tonne (0,7 oz. per ton) in hole McV-91-3 at the Linjog prospect on the McVean Lake claim block in the Pickle Lake area of northwestern Ontario, Major General Resources (VSE) reported.
The intercept, the junior said, is hosted by a strong shear zone within a thick iron formation which is anomalous in gold for more than an 80-metre width in the drill hole.
Three other anomalous intersections with values of 0.5-1.3 grams over 1.5 metres were also intersected in the same hole, the company said.
