Initial drill results have been received from Mahogany Minerals Resources’ Fork Lake project in the La Ronge area of northern Saskatchewan. Mahogany has a 19% carried interest in the discovery which is five miles southeast of its Jolu project; that particular property is scheduled for production next year.
Among the significant results recently reported from Fork Lake were: 9.9 ft of 2.1 oz gold; 5 ft grading 1.2 oz; 8.2 ft of 0.71 oz; 4.9 ft averaging 0.5 oz; 4.9 ft of 0.25 oz and 3.3 ft grading 0.14 oz.
The mineralized zone has a known strike length of 800 ft, averages 5-7 ft in width, and has an estimated grade of 0.7 oz gold per ton, says Mahogany. Drilling will continue over the winter months to extend the zone along strike and to depth.
