Madeleine cuts platinum values (September 29, 1986)

Additional drill results have been released by Madeleine Mines from the company’s optioned Lac des Iles platinum group metals (PGM) property. Located north of Thunder Bay, Ont., the property is being drilled by three rigs.

Hole 86-3 intersected a 360-ft section grading 0.089 oz PGM per ton, including a 90-ft section grading 0.12 oz PGM from 620 ft-710 ft. From 790 ft- 830 ft, the same hole included 40 ft assaying 0.14 PGM per ton.

Hole 86-4 cut 480 ft assaying 0.11 oz PGM per ton from 330 ft-810 ft. Included in the section is 90 ft grading 0.136 oz PGM. Hole 86-5 cut 85 ft assaying 0.133 PGM.

Results from five additional holes are expected shortly, the company says.
