Louvem, partners completing drilling at Courvan bet

Encouraged by a drilling campaign just concluding on the Courvan gold property near Val d’Or, Que., are partners Louvem Mines (52%), Courvan Mining (45%) and Aabarock Mining Resources (3%). The current drilling campaign started in October, with the objective of completing 15,000 ft of surface drilling. Among the better results (weighted averages) for some of the holes completed to date are the following: Hole Width Grade

(ft) (oz/t) 02-87-01 8.5 0.22 02-87-02 8.2 0.24 02-87-03 4.5 0.21 02-87-04 4 0.44 02-87-05 4 0.19

Also, hole 02-87-06 intersected 0.37 oz over 2 ft and hole 02-87-07 cut 3.02 oz over 1.4 ft.

In other news, Louvem reports its exploration arm, Monicor Exploration, has acquired an option to obtain a 5% interest in the property (to be subtracted from Louvem’s interest) by spending $400,000 on exploration work by the end of February, 1988.
