Loree a winner of CIM award

Loree, 26, who has worked at The Northern Miner since 1986, was selected to receive an honorable mention for a number of articles submitted in the competition’s feature writing category.

Included in his submissions were articles on Echo Bay Mines’ Cove, McCoy and Lupin mines, and a story on silver mining in Mexico.

The CIM awards are presented to journalists in Canada for balanced and technically accurate news reporting, feature writing, radio and television reporting.

Loree will receive a plaque at the CIM’s annual general meeting in Quebec City, May 2.
