LITERATURE REVIEW — NEWS ROUNDUP — Drills turn on Gowest ground

A drill program is under way at the Detour Lake West property and at the Denton Twp. property west of Timmins, Ont., reports junior Gowest Amalgamated Resources (GWA-A).

Placer Dome (PD-T) is carrying out an 11,000-ft. program to test the westward projection of the Detour Lake gold system on ground optioned from Gowest. The Denton Twp. property is being drilled by Battle Mountain Canada (BMC-T). A 10,000-ft. program is under way, aimed at defining mineralized gold zones discovered last year and searching for new zones. Gowest holds a 25.5% interest in the joint venture.

Gowest also reports that drilling will begin in March at its Detour Lake East property, 130 miles northeast of Timmins. That project is held jointly with Jonpol Explorations (JON-T).
