LITERATURE REVIEW — Golden Band drilling program tests targets at Tower and Halfmoon Lake properties

A 1,000-metre drill program will test the Tower Lake South and Halfmoon Lake anomalies identified by Golden Band Resources (GBN-V) at its properties in the Waddy Lake area of northern Saskatchewan.

The targets resulted from a systematic gold-in-till sampling program that began in 1993 at the wholly owned properties.

Since then, about 3,500 samples have been collected, leading to the discovery of several anomalous dispersion trains. Coincident geophysical anomalies were also identified over the prospective source area.

Last year, followup work was carried out at the Halfmoon Lake and Tower Lake South anomalies, where significant gold grain counts (50-100 grains per kg) were obtained.

Golden Band plans to drill 500 metres in five holes to test each of these anomalies.

The company also plans to spend $2 million during the next two years to explore and earn a 60% interest in a land package in Saskatchewan. The company can earn a 60% interest in the property, which is believed to be prospective for gold deposits associated with the Byers Lake fault.
