Link confirms silver-gold veins

Drilling on Link Minerals’ (LMVL-C) Hombre Libre concession in Honduras has confirmed the existence of vein-hosted silver-gold mineralization.

The 18-hole program tested three separate target areas — Pochota, Ojo de Agua and Mahoma. A sub-horizontal quartz vein in the Pochota area yielded the best results: 9.1 metres grading 108.7 grams silver and 0.74 gram gold, including 1.6 metres grading 127 grams silver and 6.8 grams gold.

North of Pochota, the 1.5-km-long Mahoma vein returned grades of up to 48 grams silver and 0.42 gram gold over 4 metres.

Mineralization at Hombre Libre, characterized by a high silver-gold ratio and minor pyrite and chalcopyrite, is found in a series of quartz veins and silicified zones in a sequence of andesites over a 7-sq.-km area. Link plans to carry out further work on the property.
