The 21st provincial mine rescue competition was recently held in Glace Bay, N.S. Led by Jay Dooley, the Lingan mine team defeated seven competitors to win the championship. The contestants were judged by their knowledge of equipment and ability to function in different emergency situations.
The Lingan mine is owned by Cape Breton Development.
