LETTERS TO THE EDITOR Ontario’s gold camps revisited

I am working on a book titled Gold in Ontario and would like to call on your readers for their help. The book will cover the historical growth of all of the gold camps in the province from Hastings Cty. through to Hemlo. Included will be teasers and fizzles and also new areas being developed. News of a mysterious benefactor or large government grant for this project would be nice to report but such is not the case. It is why I could use your readers’ assistance; they will have news of the gold game and its development in the province, and will perhaps be able to point me to oldtimers or photo sources. I am a Canadian author whose books include Fortunes in the Ground, the story of the Cobalt, Porcupine and Kirkland Lake camps. My mailing address is P.O. Box 243, Kirkland Lake, Ont. P2N 2G0.
