Letters to the Editor Gold-Platinum deposits

Professor Jerry White states that gold and platinum can never be found in the same ore (N.M., Oct 17/88). I suggest Professor White do some research on the Coronation Hill gold-platinum deposit in Australia. In Canada we are currently exploring a geologically similar prospect in the Northwest Territories, which has produced assays up to 0.76 oz gold per ton, 1.02 oz pla tinum and 0.77 oz palladium per ton, from a single sample.
