Having just arrived back from Kenora Prospectors and Miners’ annual meeting held at Gold Point Farm Camp on June 24, I feel a rebuttal is in order to your “Grab Samples” column (N.M., June 20/88) which seemed to intimate that Kenora Prospectors and Miners was shunning the general shareholders.
Being a “mining greenhorn” from Alberta, I feel that we were treated with “western hospitality” to the extent that we were given guided tours of the operation, meals and accommodations, and all questions were painstakingly answered.
Just ask me if I would trade a couple of days at the lake (Shoal Lake) for the glass and concrete of Toronto. A big “hats off” to Kenora Prospectors and Miners, not only for their hospitality, but also their originality. Don Benedict Hanna, Alta.
