LETTERS IN THE PICTURE

In the January, 1988, issue of The Northern Miner Magazine on page 64, there appeared a picture with the caption “Prospecting the horse-drawn way in New Brunswick.” This picture was taken at a small community called Bathurst Mines (or as it was sometimes known, Great Falls). This is only a few miles from the present-day Brunswick mining complex.

The man without the hat in the left of the picture is my father, Joseph S. MacDonald, and I am the “little guy” beside him. Stewart MacDonald, Polaris Mine, Polaris, N. W. T.
