Letter to the Editor: Tough to turn a profit at San Antonio

From April 1941 to June 1968, my late father Cliff Gibson was chief geologist at the San Antonio gold mine in Bissett, Man. Every year it made money and paid a dividend.

Since then four other operators have attempted to mine the gold deposit and have lost their shirt — including the present operator San Gold. A fact stranger than fiction.
