LETTER TO THE EDITOR — Reserves misquoted for Battle zone

In the May 22 issue of The Northern Miner an article on Westmin’s 1995 first-quarter results mentions the Battle zone development in British Columbia but misquotes the reserves.

Minable reserves at the zone are 2.5 million tonnes grading 1.0 gram gold and 20.3 grams silver per tonne, 2% copper and 10.6% zinc. There are two other high-grade zinc zones closely associated with the Battle — the Gopher and Gnu, which together total about 700,000 tonnes. The Gopher zone is the actual source of development ore which has been going to the mill.
