Letter to the Editor Provincial parks ban (February 06, 1989)

Mr Bradley with glee announced that there would be no hunting, trapping, logging or prospecting in 53 new provincial parks in Ontario. I am going to dub them madness parks for they are no good to anyone. The wolves run wild and eat themselves out of house and home.

All parks in Ontario should have timber and mining in it. A good example of this is in the Chapleau game reserve. There is less game in this game reserve than when they created it over 50 years ago and it is a big one. Ike Burns Ike Burns Exploration Corp. Sudbury, Ont.

The handwriting is on the wall for mining and timber companies in northern Ontario.
