LETTER TO THE EDITOR — Bre-X coverage top-Notch

Having read your latest reports on Bre-X Minerals (T.N.M., March 26 and April 7/97), I am now able to assess the situation for myself.

Instead of falling into sensationalism or making questionable and dubious comments about President David Walsh’s career or personal life (as some financial newspapers have done), The Miner produced two technical, well-documented and interesting articles that were helpful to any investor willing to understand how such an event could have happened.

I have also noted that parts of these reports were quoted in other newspapers or press releases, thus confirming their quality.

If the credibility of the Canadian mining industry was affected by this event, the reputation of The Miner was enhanced by these articles.
