LETTER TO THE EDITOR — Activity at Dublin Gulch in Yukon understated

In a recent story on the Dublin Gulch gold project of First Dynasty Mines (“Cornucopia eyes Dublin Gulch,” T.N.M., Sept. 1/97), you incorrectly state that this project “has been relatively inactive for years.”

First Dynasty Mines, through its wholly owned subsidiary, New Millennium Mining, has been in the process of bringing this property, situated in the Yukon Territory, to the development stage for the past three years. Over that period, the company has invested more than US$10 million. A feasibility study has been completed, and we are in the final stages of the permitting process. Production could begin as soon as 1999.
