Ownership of La Reyna copper-gold project in the Mexican state of Sinaloa is being restructured (subject to regulatory approval) to give Aurizon Mines (TSE) a 95% working interest, the company says.
The project agreement is with Western Desert Explorations, which would retain a 5% interest.
Aurizon will fund the next $200,000 worth of exploration work, following which Western will have the option to earn up to an additional 25% interest by incurring certain staged exploration expenditures.
Aurizon plans to purchase 200,000 shares of Western at 25 cents per share following regulatory approval.
Meanwhile, north of Amos, Que., Aurizon reports that a $400,000 surface drilling program is planned for the Dormex property (the ground surrounding the mine area of the Sleeping Giant gold project) by Cambior (TSE).
