LATIN AMERICA — Takla Star hits gold in Bolivia

Drilling by Takla Star Resources (TKR-A) at the Orkho Pina property in western Boliva has cut wide zones of low-grade gold and zinc mineralization.

Four of the five holes drilled returned one mineralized interval each. Drill holes were collared to test geological structures and coincident geophysical and geochemical anomalies.

Values varied from nil plus 1.2% zinc over 16 metres, to 0.95 gram gold per tonne plus 0.82% zinc over 18 metres. The latter interval was part of a 54-metre zone that averaged 0.59 gram gold and 0.63% zinc. Mineralization is associated with hydrothermally altered dacitic volcanics.
