LATIN AMERICA SPECIAL — Blue Ribbon drills in Mexico

Drilling is in progress on the Seri copper-gold property near Hermosillo in Mexico’s Sonora state.

To date, Blue Ribbon Resources (VSE) has drilled six holes to test an area measuring 200 by 250 metres. The holes, drilled to a maximum depth of 60 metres, have all intersected copper mineralization over a thickness of 4.5 to 9 metres. Assay results are pending.

The company plans to launch a minimum 14-hole program in order to test a gently dipping, copper-gold bearing skarn. The structure occurs along the bottom edge of a mountain front over a length of 1 km.

Outcrops and old workings yielded values of up to 2% copper, while soil sampling to the south (over covered projections of the skarn) returned up to 0.45 gram gold per tonne and 0.5% copper.
