LATIN AMERICA ROUNDUP — Minefinders options Mexican

An option agreement has been concluded with a Mexican businessman to explore and develop the Dolores gold property in Chihuahua, Mexico, Minefinders (VSE) reports.

Minefinders may assume total ownership of the property through staged payments of US$1.5 million prior to production, at which point a 2% net smelter royalty will become effective.

The 5,000-acre property sits 30 miles northeast of Placer Dome’s low-grade Mulatos gold project.
