Through staking and property options, Corner Bay Minerals (TSE) has acquired a 3,474-hectare land position in the Chihuahua state of Mexico, not far from the Texas border.
Corner Bay will map and sample a favorable “red bed” sedimentary horizon, known to host copper-oxide mineralization, which runs across the properties. The company will also test the mineralization for its acid solubility. To earn a 100% interest in the Peru copper property, which represents a portion of the landholdings, Corner Bay must make cash payments totalling $100,000. The vendors retain a 3% net smelter royalty.
