LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Imperial sells mine stake to Cameco

In a move that will take it out of the uranium business, Imperial Metals (TSE) is selling its 30.8% interest in the Crow Butte in situ leach mine and adjacent Big Red property in northwestern Nebraska.

Cameco (TSE) will pay $13 million for the properties, in the form of shares and cash. The net gain to Imperial will be $2.3 million.

Imperial says the sale will enable it to focus on core projects and initiatives.
