LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Cross Lake acquires Timmins area play

Junior Cross Lake Minerals (VSE) has acquired a 79-claim property in Steele Twp., northeast of Timmins, Ont.

The property is 22 miles west of the Normetal zinc-copper-silver mine which produced 11.1 million tons grading 2% copper, 5% zinc and 1.5 oz. silver per ton.

The claims, which are underlain by volcanics and sediments, contain airborne electromagnetic (EM) anomalies which appear to be associated with known zones of sulphide mineralization.

Ground EM surveys are planned, so as to outline the conductors more accurately prior to trenching and drilling.

Meanwhile, work is progressing on the company’s base metal project in Fox and Stimson twps., which is a joint venture with Noranda (TSE).
