LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Cercal to drill Portuguese prospect

Drilling is to begin shortly on the Odemira polymetallic project in southern Portugal, reports owner Cercal Minerals (ASE).

The 4,000-5,000-metre program will test eight gravity anomalies inferred to be 300 to 600 metres below surface. The initial hole will test an anomaly which has an inferred strike length of 1,200 metres and a width of 600 metres. The 1993 budget for drilling and ongoing exploration is estimated to be $1.6 million.

Cercal was formerly known as Kalrock Resources.
