LAST BUT NOT LEAST — Bre-X hits gold in Indonesia

A drill hole on Bre-X Minerals’ (ASE) Busang prospect in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, has intersected gold mineralization.

BRH-4A, the first hole in a program of 10, returned 4 grams gold per tonne over 20 metres, including a 12-metre section averaging 6.6 grams. This hole was drilled to follow up economic gold mineralization which was encountered in two holes late last year.

Two additional target areas have been identified 500 metres southwest and southeast of the central Busang zone, which will be drill-tested in April. The company believes the Busang deposit is similar to the Kelian mine in East Kalimantan and the Porgera mine in Papua New Guinea.
