Toronto-listed Arimetco International plans to increase copper production next year to about 50 million lb. compared with roughly 26 million lb. this year.
The higher output would mean a 10 cents drop in operating costs to 55 cents per lb.
The company is also negotiating a merger with a small Nevada gold company, says President Roy Shipes.
