Larger crusher for Magino mine

Muscocho, the operator, and McNellen are 50/50 partners in the Wawa area mine, which was officially opened last October. Gold production last year, including from pre-production test milling, totalled 6,222 oz.

The companies report the mine is in the final stages of start-up production, with most mill feed to date having come from the relatively lower grade stockpile of development ore.

Sufficient mining areas have been developed to provide millfeed for the next two years at the increased rate, the companies say. Drill-indicated reserves stand at 1.9 million tons grading 0.25 oz gold per ton, above 500 ft.

Deeper drilling to below 2,000 ft has indicated potential reserves of several times the above amount, the companies report.
