Final showdown in the ownership dispute over the Williams gold mine at Hemlo in northern Ontario has been set for Oct 11 by the Supreme Court of Canada. International Corona Resources was awarded the mine, which was developed by Lac Minerals, in March, 1986, by the Supreme Court of Ontario, a ruling which was upheld by the Ontario Court of Appeal in 1987. Lac subsequently sought and was granted leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Corona says it requested an early hearing from the Supreme Court.
