Labrador News Roundup — Viscount, Magna find gossans

Prospecting crews at the Tasisuak Lake property of Consolidated Viscount Resources (VSE) and Consolidated Magna Ventures (VSE) have discovered several gossans near the location of a magnetic anomaly and coincident electromagnetic conductor found in earlier airborne geophysical surveying. The property is 50 km northwest of Voisey Bay.

Some of the gossans contain remnants of semi-massive sulphide bodies, while sulphide-bearing boulders were also found. Ground geophysics will be carried out to refine the target for drill testing.

An airborne geophysical survey on the Kingurutik River property, northwest of Nain, has detected five electromagnetic (EM) conductors. The company’s main target will be a northeast-striking, 1,000-metre-long EM conductor, coincident with a magnetic anomaly. Crews will check the anomaly on the ground shortly.
