Labrador News Roundup — Viscount, Magna begin drilling

Vancouver-listed partners Consolidated Viscount Resources and Consolidated Magna Ventures have received Newfoundland government approval for their drill permit application on the Tasisuak Lake property.

The program, which starts this month, will consist of 1,000 metres in about 10 holes drilled on two coincidental magnetic and electromagnetic anomalies exhibiting multiple gossans and sulphide zones in outcrops.

Recent assaying of grab samples from the gossans returned anomalous nickel, copper and cobalt in numerous samples, while the best massive sulphide samples assayed between 0.22% and 1.36% nickel, 0.55% to 0.76% copper and 0.01% to 0.07% cobalt.

Ground geological and geophysical crews are currently mapping and surveying the two Tasisuak Lake anomalies in detail in anticipation of drilling. A winterized camp will be completed on the property this month.

Consolidated Viscount also holds a 100% interest in 16 claim blocks in the Voisey Bay, Hebron and central Labrador areas as well as 3 claim blocks on which Consolidated Magna holds a 51% option.
