Exploration work on the Seahorse Lake property, 150 km southwest of the Voisey Bay discovery in Labrador, is returning encouraging results for Tapestry Ventures (VSE).
Follow-up work on a copper-in-soil anomaly outlined a 55-metre-long by 5-metre-wide outcrop of ultramafic volcanics containing stringers of massive pyrite and chalcopyrite.
Seven samples taken from the outcrop returned values ranging from 0.26% to 0.44% copper and 0.1% to 0.13% nickel.
Line cutting, soil sampling and geophysical surveys on the remainder of the property outlined a number of copper-zinc soil anomalies. The company is waiting for results from the geophysics, which will be used to prioritize drill targets.
A winterized camp has been established, and Tapestry plans infill linecutting and geophysical work over ponds in the area of the main zinc-copper showing before drill targets are finalized.
