LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Tapestry, Portman detect anomalies

Preliminary analysis of airborne geophysical data from ground held by partners Tapestry Ventures (VSE) and Portman Explorations (VSE) in the Voisey Bay region of Labrador indicates the presence of two significant anomalies with “off-scale” electromagnetic responses.

One of the anomalies, which measures about 2 km in strike length, is coincident with a strong magnetic feature and appears to lie within Tasiuyak gneiss on the margin of the Nain Plutonic Suite.

The other anomaly covers about 1.5 km of strike and is coincident with a moderate, magnetic feature within the Nain Plutonic Suite.

The joint venture has already submitted an application to the Newfoundland government for a drilling permit. A 12-person field crew is being mobilized to the area to locate the anomalies on the ground and determine drill targets.
