LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Pacific Golden works Anaktalak

A 6-hole, 4,000-ft. drill program is planned for the Anaktalak property in Labrador.

The ground, held by Pacific Golden Spike Resources (VSE), adjoins Diamond Fields’ discovery to the northwest.

Four of the holes are designed to test coincident magnetometer and very-low-frequency electromagnetic anomalies in the western-central area, which is underlain by coarse anorthosites containing banded, sulphide-bearing, fine-grained anorthosites. Surface sampling returned values of 0.15% copper, 0.1% nickel and 0.03% cobalt.

A major, north-south-trending, magnetic gradient in the south-central area will be tested with two holes. The anomaly is 600 metres east of a mapped surface contact between anorthosites and an intruding gabbro-noritic sequence of the Nain Plutonic Suite.
