Preliminary results from airborne surveys of the Northern Abitibi Mining (ASE) properties in the Voisey Bay area of Labrador reveal the presence of 30 anomalies on the first three properties flown.
On the 360-claim Harp North property, south of Voisey Bay, 17 anomalies were identified, of which eight are described as coincident magnetic and electromagnetic (EM).
On the nearby 310-claim Merryfield property, five coincident magnetic and EM anomalies were identified.
On the 134-claim Shapio Lake property, near the Nain-Churchill break and just west of the Harp Lake pluton, eight airborne anomalies were identified. Of these, five are coincident magnetic and EM anomalies, and one of the five, which occurs in the vicinity of copper showings, will be sampled immediately.
About 1,000 line km of a planned 2,900-line-km program have been flown to date on the properties.
